In communities across Mississippi, access to opportunity can shape the trajectory of a young person’s life. That’s why I am proud to support the work of the Amiable Arts Foundation—an organization that is changing lives by blending the performing arts with academic enrichment and life skills.
At Amiable, young artists are not only learning how to perform on stage—they are building confidence, discipline, and a vision for their future. Through programs that integrate theater, dance, music, and creative storytelling with tutoring and career exploration, Amiable equips young people with tools that extend far beyond the spotlight.
What makes this work especially powerful is its commitment to meeting young artists where they are. Whether a child dreams of being center stage or prefers to contribute behind the scenes, Amiable ensures that no talent is overlooked and no potential is left behind.
This spring, our community will have the opportunity to see this impact in action. Amiable young artists will present Disney’s Beauty and the Beast Jr. on April 23, 2026, at Northwest Jackson Middle School, followed by Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory Jr. on April 24, 2026, at Bolton Edwards Middle School. These productions are more than performances—they are a celebration of creativity, discipline, and growth.
As a board member, I have witnessed firsthand the impact this organization has on our youth and our community. Amiable is not just creating performers—it is developing leaders, scholars, and innovators.
Investing in programs like Amiable Arts Foundation is an investment in Mississippi’s future. When we empower our young people to perform, we empower them to transform.
